About MTF Trading

An independent site on India's Margin Trading Facility: what it costs at each broker, and what the market is doing.

Where the numbers come from

  • Market data: mtf.trading, built from NSE and BSE daily MTF disclosures, licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. NSE-only stock figures come from NSE's own daily file.
  • Broker charges: each broker's own website, read by hand. Every fact on a broker page links to its source and shows the date we checked it. A job re-reads those pages every week.
  • Rules: SEBI and exchange documents, linked on each Learn page.

When it updates

A trading day's MTF figures are published the next evening, so our figures are usually one to two days behind the market. We fetch twice a day, aiming for about 11 pm and 9 am India time, though these jobs can start late. The site usually updates a few minutes after each fetch. The latest figures here are for 2 Nov 2026.

How we treat brokers

We list 14 brokers in one fixed order, based on how often people search for each. We never rank them or call one the cheapest. Where a broker doesn't publish a charge, we say “Not published”, which doesn't mean free.

How to cite this site

What this site isn't

It isn't investment advice. MTF can lose you more than you put in: read why it's risky.
